Concept description: Prussik-Loop® is a high-tech endless loop, combining an Aramide® braided core with double structural protection. This device is designed to offer perfect dimensional stability and thermal resistance up to 500°C. Its spliced eye termination with double transfer and continuous stitching guarantees optimum load transmission.
Target use: Mainly used as a self-locking (brake) knot during rope descents or to secure abseiling systems. Thanks to its chemical and thermal properties, it is particularly suited to demanding environments: rescue, heavy industry, or work in corrosive environments.
Technical specifications illustrated :
- Extreme strength: Minimum breaking strength of 34 kN (8 times stronger than steel for the same weight).
- Advanced protection: 48-spindle PES sheath against abrasion and PE overmolded buckle finish for extra durability.
- Chemical inertness: Insensitive to water, organic solvents and acids.
Prusik-loop is a loop-type self-locking pruning rope with a sewn loop. It is ideal for use as a brake when descending a rope.
Design & Customization
This product is an example of a customized design. We configure diameters (Ø 4 mm and more), lengths (standard 45 cm / 50 cm or custom-made) and materials according to your friction and heat constraints.
Note: Certification to standards (e.g. EN 795, EN 354, EN 566) is available on request, depending on the end use defined by the customer.
