Dytech®, Armored Textile Cable for Extreme Winching
Range : Lab Innovation | Heavy Traction & Forestry "The strength of HMPE, the thermal invulnerability of Technora®."
Concept description: Dytech® textile rope redefines technical rope standards for heavy-duty towing and forestry skidding. Designed to replace steel cable, it is based on a unique bi-material engineering combining the strength of HMPE (High Density Polyethylene) and the thermal resistance of Technora®. This synergy results in a static cable capable of withstanding intense dynamic friction without structural degradation.
Thermal performance & flexibility: Unlike standard textile ropes, which can deteriorate under the heat generated by winch drums, the Technora® fiber integrated into Dytech® ensures perfect resistance to high temperatures. Its structure remains stable and flexible, retaining its full breaking load even after intensive work cycles and severe heating phases.
Strengths & Benefits :
Bi-material resistance: The HMPE/Technora® alliance offers the best weight/power ratio combined with unrivalled thermal protection.
Stability under heat : No structural deformation during heating phases on winch drums.
Extreme durability: high resistance to dynamic friction, abrasion and repeated bending in abrasive environments (earth, sand, rocks).
Ergonomics & Safety: Up to 7 times lighter than steel, it considerably reduces operator fatigue and eliminates the risk of dangerous "whiplash" effects in the event of breakage.
Total compatibility: Fits perfectly with standard market accessories (chains, hooks and deflection pulleys).
Areas of application :
Forestry & Skidding: Trunk winching and timber handling in rough terrain.
Pruning: Use as a secure traction or load-control line.
Building & Civil Engineering: Lifting and pulling requiring easy-to-handle, non-corrosive, non-marking equipment.
Heavy industry: Replacement of steel wire ropes to improve handling comfort and site safety.
Specifications & Reference Standards
The use of Dytech® in industrial and forestry environments complies with the following frameworks:
Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC: Compliant for use in traction and load-lifting attachments.
ISO 10325: Standard for high-modulus fiber ropes.
ISO 2307: Method for determining mechanical properties and breaking strength.
Forestry Standards: Meets safety requirements for skidding winch ropes (abrasion and shock resistance).
Lab Innovation Tip
Control friction. Dytech® is specifically recommended for winches whose running speed or repetitive cycles generate significant heat. Where a 100% Dyneema® rope might vitrify, Dytech® retains its flexibility and safety.
