Helicopter Net | Aero Spherical Net™
The Next-Generation Helicopter Net: Stability and Aerodynamic Performance
TheAero Spherical Net™ revolutionizes helicopter load transportation. Designed to exceed the limits of traditional nets, this rigid half-sphere system combines aerospace materials with cutting-edge textile engineering to deliver unrivalled in-flight safety and efficiency.
High-performancedesign
The Aeo Spherical Net's design is based on a combination of ultra-light and ultra-strong materials:
Holding Structure: A circular carbon frame guarantees the rigidity and robustness of the opening while minimizing dead weight.
Strength Mesh: The mesh is made of flat Dyneema® webbing, offering exceptional breaking strength and durability against the elements.
Balancing system: Six Dyneema® load-bearing straps link the base to a circular cap strap. This architecture distributes weight evenly and prevents the net from deforming under load.
Lifting Interface: Four Dyneema® rope slings are attached via high-visibility orange 7075 aluminum rings, through which the carbon tube passes for an indestructible mechanical connection.
Operational advantages of the Spherical Design
1. Aerodynamics and fuel economy
Unlike conventional flexible nets, which create high, unstable drag, the Aero Spherical Net's rigid half-sphere shape minimizes wind resistance.
Smooth flight: Reduced sway and vibration.
Efficiency: Reduced drag means optimized fuel consumption and better aircraft control, even in strong winds.
2. Absolute load stability
Thanks to its rigid frame and load-bearing webbing, loads do not agglomerate at the bottom of the net. Constant weight balance reduces unwanted movement, facilitating precision placement.
3. Full Enclosure" safety
The system can be fitted with an optional enclosure net that attaches to the carbon tube. It completely encloses the sphere, securing packages and materials against accidental ejection during maneuvers or turbulence.
Technical specifications

TheAero Spherical Net™ is particularly recommended for transporting critical or heterogeneous loads in mountainous or offshore areas, where aerodynamic stability is the number one safety factor.
Aerodynamic comparison: Aero Spherical Net™ vs Standard Net
| Performance criteria | Traditional Transport Net | Aero Spherical Net™ |
| Drag profile | High and unstable (variable "bag" shape) | Optimized (constant half-sphere shape) |
| Wind load | Strong, generates sway when maneuvering | Minimized thanks to rigid carbon frame |
| Fuel consumption | Increased by air resistance | Reduced thanks to smooth aerodynamic drag |
| In-flight stability | Risk of oscillations and instability | Smooth flight and increased aircraft control |
| Force distribution | Uneven, risk of deformation under load | Homogeneous via 6 Dyneema® load-bearing straps |
The advantage of a rigid frame and fixed shape
Unlike conventional nets, which deform and become vulnerable to turbulence, theAero Spherical Net™ maintains its structure thanks to its circular carbon tube. This rigidity allows:
An aerodynamic profile that doesn't collapse during swoops or rapid climbs.
Reduced drag, making flight less painful for the pilot, especially in strong winds.
Increased safety for fragile loads, thanks to the closing net option that secures the entire half-sphere.
