For a luxury catamaran builder, offering maximum comfort and safety at anchor is essential to the customer experience.
This includes, in particular, a mooring system capable of effectively absorbing shocks and boat movements caused by wind and swell, without transmitting unpleasant jolts on board.
The shipyard was looking for a specific Y mooring solution, aesthetically impeccable to fit in with the high-end image of their yachts, manufactured with great rigor, and with a Y connection that would ensure intelligent, balanced distribution of forces. Standard or less technical mooring lines were unable to achieve this level of damping and stretch control.

Nodus Factory Industry developed a custom Y mooring system designed specifically for this high-end builder's catamarans.
The team selected a 24-strand flat polyester hollow braid, renowned for its high flexibility and excellent shock absorption.
The bespoke design created a unique, precisely spliced and sewn Y-connector, which intelligently and evenly distributes stresses across the two mooring points on the catamaran's bow.
Aesthetics have been carefully considered, with an abrasion- and UV-resistant black braid finish, and the integration of matching textile connectors (Dy-Protec® Textile Shackle, T-Bone Connector).
